Who Microgaming is, and where its games went
Microgaming announced the sale of its distribution business and online games portfolio to Games Global in November 2021 and completed it in May 2022. Games Global took over the games and the network of casinos that offered them; Microgaming kept its platform business and the sports betting software it licenses to Betway. Games Global describes itself as a network of studios with more than 1,300 exclusive titles and progressive jackpots, and its site lists a Malta Gaming Authority licence for its Maltese company.
