How a crypto deposit works
In the cashier you pick a coin and, for coins like USDT that run on several blockchains, a network. The casino shows a deposit address, often with a QR code. You send the coins from your wallet or exchange to that address, and the casino credits your balance once the network has confirmed the transaction. Send only the coin and network the cashier names: coins sent on the wrong network are usually lost.
Fees and waiting times
- Network fees are paid to the blockchain, not the casino. They are usually small on networks like Tron or Solana and can be higher on Bitcoin and Ethereum when the network is busy.
- Confirmations take from seconds to an hour depending on the coin. The withdrawal times in the comparison are the casino's processing time; the network transfer comes on top.
- Exchange fees: buying coins and selling winnings back to your currency at an exchange costs a spread or a fee each way.
Price moves
If you deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum and the price falls while you play, your balance is worth less in your own currency even if you haven't lost a bet. Some casinos convert your deposit to a balance in euro or dollars at the day's rate, which removes the price risk while you play; you take it again when you withdraw in crypto. Stablecoins such as USDT on Tron are pegged to the US dollar and move far less.
Identity checks still apply
Paying in crypto doesn't remove know-your-customer checks. Licensed casinos can ask for ID and proof of address before a withdrawal, especially for larger amounts, so expect the same checks as with a card. Our guides to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and XRP cover each coin.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Coins column shows the number and the first few coins each casino lists; a "+" means the casino lists more than we counted. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT are the most common. Check the cashier for the network too, for example USDT on Tron or on Ethereum.
Often, but not always. The casino still processes the withdrawal first, and your first one usually waits for identity checks. After that, the transfer takes as long as the network needs to confirm it, from seconds to about an hour.
Yes. Casinos can ask for ID and proof of address before paying out, whatever the payment method. Paying in crypto does not hide who you are from the casino.
When you deposit, you do. On withdrawals, some casinos pay the fee and some deduct it from the amount; the casino's payment terms say which. Fees depend on the coin and how busy the network is.
They usually can't be recovered. Copy the address from the cashier, check that the coin and network match what you send, and try a small amount first.
Usually yes, but some bonuses exclude certain payment methods or set a higher minimum deposit. Read the bonus terms before you deposit; our bonus guide explains wagering.
